Welcome to SK Studios, a creative hub to nurture business, skills & potential

South Kilburn Studios is funded by Brent Council and is home to 40 creative businesses, professionals and trainees.

The tenants have pledged – in lieu of rent payments – to train a young person from the local area, helping them learn new skills, build a portfolio in their chosen trade and be part of a final exhibition show, attended by potential employers.  They also deliver a public programme of creative fun inspiring free events.

Initially part of a series of public art pieces, South Kilburn Neighbourhood Trust and Brent Council worked with the Architecture Foundation and Practice Architecture to regenerate the site of 2a Canterbury Road in South Kilburn, London transforming the building into a series of studio spaces occupied by young businesses in the creative industries.

Our tenants and trainees excel in the following disciplines and offer affordable creative services:  branding and graphic design, music, PR, events, project managements, film making, photography, illustration, fashion and hat making, radio, interior design, digital content creation, embroidery and art and more.

South Kilburn Studios put on a whole host of events for people to participate in. Visit our Events page for further details.

Edited by The AF and designed by branding and design tenants Work + Play, South Kilburn Studios: Notes on an Experiment, documents the creation and life of the studios. Books are now available to purchase from the AF’s website and are priced at £5 + P&P.
